The challenge
Alturas Medical Weight Loss is a newer clinic (in business roughly three years) competing in one of the Treasure Valley's most crowded medical categories. A single Meridian search for medical weight loss surfaces 20-plus rivals, including clinics with 7 and 20 years of history and hundreds of reviews. To win new patients, Alturas needed to be visible exactly where high-intent searchers look first: the Google local pack and page one for terms like "weight loss clinic meridian" and "weight loss clinic boise."
The harder, modern challenge: searchers increasingly ask AI assistants like ChatGPT for the "best weight loss clinic" before they ever click a blue link. Being invisible to those tools means losing patients who never see a search results page at all.
What we built
Own the local pack for the searches that convert
We focused on the bottom-of-funnel terms a ready-to-book patient actually types: "weight loss clinic meridian," "weight loss clinic boise," and city-level variations across Meridian, Boise, and Nampa. The goal was the Google local pack, the three-result map block that captures the majority of local clicks.
Build out service and service-area pages
We structured the site around the treatments patients search for by name, GLP-1 medications including semaglutide and tirzepatide, plus dedicated service-area pages for the surrounding Treasure Valley cities, so each high-intent query had a relevant page to rank.
Optimize for AI search, not just Google
We aligned the clinic's content and structured information so that AI assistants pulling live web results would recognize and recommend Alturas when someone asks for the best medical weight loss clinics in the Meridian and Boise area.
